The Internet is becoming increasingly popular in our society and can be an excellent tool in your career development process. Why should you be using this medium?
If you dont know how to use the Internet, the time to learn is now! Sign up for a workshop or ask a friend or family member to show you. Once you understand "the basics," using the Internet is all about exploring. Use your imagination and creativity to gather information-- there is more information on the World Wide Web than we can ever understand. Its all at your fingertips! If you dont have Internet access at home, there are computers with Internet access available at the Career Services Office or the Elmhurst College library. There is no charge for students and alumni.
We have identified a few career-related sites that may be helpful to you. There are many, many more out there! How can you find those sites? By using resource books about the Internet (check the Career Services library), using the Internet Yellow Pages, or utilizing a search engine such as Yahoo (www.yahoo.com).
