Specialized Majors
- Students who wish to develop their interest in a specific
field may choose one specialized major in a functional area offered by
the Center for Business and Economics. Students seeking a specialized business
major are required to fulfill the Business Core
requirements, and each specialized major's requirements.
Requirements For A Logistics and Transportation Management Major
- The Logistics and Transportation Management major at
Elmhurst College includes required survey courses in logistics, transportation
management, warehousing as well as completion of a logistics issues and
problem seminar. An individual will then complete the degree requirements
by choosing additional course work in a major area of interest with a selection
from such electives as carrier management, operations research, geography,
personnel selling, business law, labor economics, internships, international
business and an independent research study.
- A student majoring in Logistics and Transportation Management
must complete a total of five classes including four required core classes
and one elective.
