This organization serves as an advisory body to the Center for Business and Economics and consists of representatives of both the College and of business. The purpose of the group is to provide an important link between business educators and actual practitioners in the wider business community.

The council serves as a useful sounding board for current and proposed programs and activities of the CBE. For instance, council members share their thoughts about curriculum and faculty development. And they suggest opportunities for students to enrich their education through internships and other practical learning/working experiences. They also identify areas of research and study where the expertise of the faculty can be called upon to help solve business problems in the community.
